Our shareholders are Farstad Shipping ASA, Rolls-Royce Marine AS, Norwegian Marin Technology Research Institute (Marintek) and Aalesund University College. Each company holds 25% of the company's shares.

The Rolls-Royce Marine AS is a global leader in marine propulsion, engineering and hydrodynamic expertise, with a broad product range and full systems integration capability. Rolls-Royce offers a product portfolio ranging from vessel design and gas turbine and diesel engines to propellers, thrusters, water jets and deck machinery. The business is unique in its scope and capabilities, with the aim of supplying ship designs, power, propulsion, motion control systems and other equipment for high-value vessels.

Marintek (Norwegian Marine Technology Research Institute) has 60 years of experience in the development of cost effective, high performance ships, where model testing constitutes the important element. The institute has excellent technological expertise in the following strategic areas: Hydrodynamics, Cybernetics and Structures, Energy Technology and Logistics. These core technologies are Marintek's main assets available to its customers and their product development. The institute's deliverables are reports, software and simulators.
MARINTEK has 230 employees (55% with MSc degree or higher) and is a part of the SINTEF Group. Through close collaboration with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), MARINTEK is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in marine technology.

Aalesund University College is a Norwegian State institution for higher maritime education located at Aalesund, Norway. It offers Bachelor degrees and additional studies in over 20 programme areas.
The university college is internationally known for its simulation facilities and the excellence of its training. It has a cluster of full ship's bridge simulators, all visual, engine room simulators and several DP simulator systems (ABB, Kongsberg Simrad, CAE and Alstom - the RR DP will be implemented when available). The university college is also the home of the world's only full cockpit high-speed craft simulator with motion platform. Aalesund University College is also one of 23 international DP training centres, certified and approved by NMD and Nautical Institute for all levels.
The college currently offers several courses in navigation and ship handling, and is also tailoring courses based on specific requests from oil companies, ship owners, and ship operators.
